Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 2, 2026

This policy explains how Rokotyansky.com, operated by Edward Rokotyansky, collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information. It covers the public website, Rokotyansky accounts, account emails, software and browser tools, educational resources, newsletters, and other services made available through the site.

1. Scope

This policy applies to information processed through this website and direct communications initiated from it. It does not govern Wiest Realty Inc., LinkedIn, Google, email or telephone providers, or other third-party services, which maintain their own practices and policies.

2. Information we may collect

Information you provide: your name, email address, telephone number, message, property interests, and other information you voluntarily include when contacting Edward.

Technical information: the hosting provider may process IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, and security logs to deliver and protect the site.

Account and authentication information: when you request or use an account, we collect your first and last name, email address, a one-way password hash, the date and time you accepted the Terms and Privacy Policy, email-verification status, approval status, account role, account creation time, and password-reset, verification, session, or persistent-login tokens and expiration times. Authentication tokens are stored server-side in hashed form where applicable. We do not store your readable password and cannot retrieve it for you.

Communications and submitted content: we may process messages, support requests, feedback, property interests, and information you choose to submit through email, telephone, or future member tools. Do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card data, banking credentials, government identification, medical information, access codes, or other highly sensitive information unless a secure process specifically requests it.

Newsletter information: if you request periodic updates, we collect your email address, subscription status, signup source, consent language, confirmation and unsubscribe tokens in hashed form, relevant timestamps, and a one-way hash derived from the signup IP address for consent, security, and abuse-prevention records. A subscription is not activated until the email address is confirmed.

Member-software information: when an approved member launches RokoPlan, Rokotyansky.com sends a short-lived, cryptographically signed authentication token containing the member’s internal account identifier, email address, and display name. RokoPlan uses that token to authenticate the member and associate saved projects, schedules, tasks, dependencies, calendars, imported project information, and related settings with the correct account. The token expires after a brief period, while RokoPlan may maintain its own secure session cookie for continued use.

Technical and usage information: the hosting provider, RokoPlan hosting platform, and security systems may process IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring page, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, session identifiers, error records, and security logs. If member software later collects materially different information, this policy or a feature-specific notice will be updated as appropriate.

This site does not currently offer online payments, use advertising networks, or conduct cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. How information is used

Information may be used to create and administer accounts; verify email addresses; review and approve access requests; authenticate users across Rokotyansky.com and RokoPlan; save and retrieve application projects; provide password resets, service notices, product or software support, and account support; operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site, software, tools, educational resources, and future product services; respond to inquiries; communicate about requested real-estate or professional services; maintain business and consent records; prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents; comply with brokerage duties and legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Account and transactional emails are sent because they are necessary to provide requested account functions. They are not marketing subscriptions. Newsletter and other marketing email is sent only to confirmed subscribers, may include software updates, new tools, educational articles, project notes, product news, real-estate information, and site news, and includes an unsubscribe mechanism. Consent may be withdrawn at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

4. Legal and brokerage records

Real-estate communications and transaction information may be retained or handled according to applicable law, written agreements, and Wiest Realty Inc. policies. Do not send Social Security numbers, banking credentials, access codes, medical information, or other highly sensitive material through ordinary email.

5. Disclosure of information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed to hosting, database, email-delivery, security, backup, and technology providers that support the site and RokoPlan; Wiest Realty Inc. and professionals involved in a service you request; advisers, insurers, or parties involved in protecting legal rights; a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of the site or business; government authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect safety and rights; or others at your direction or with your consent. Providers may process information only as permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

6. Cookies and browser signals

The account system uses strictly necessary first-party cookies and related identifiers to authenticate users, maintain secure sessions, prevent request forgery, and provide requested account functions. A session cookie supports the active browser session. After a successful login, a separate persistent-login cookie may keep an approved user signed in for up to 30 days, including after the browser or tab is closed. The persistent cookie contains a random credential; the corresponding token is stored server-side in hashed form. It expires automatically, may be invalidated for security or account-status reasons, and is revoked from the server when the user selects Sign Out. Users should sign out when using a shared or public device.

RokoPlan uses a strictly necessary secure session cookie on its own application domain after a successful signed handoff from Rokotyansky.com. Because browser cookies are domain-specific, the RokoPlan cookie is separate from the Rokotyansky.com login cookie. It is used to keep the member connected to the correct RokoPlan workspace and is not used for advertising or tracking across unrelated websites.

The site stores small first-party preferences in local browser storage so its introductory animation is shown only on the first visit and the newsletter invitation is not repeatedly displayed after it is dismissed or submitted. These preferences generally remain until browser data is cleared and are not used to identify a user, track activity across unrelated websites, or deliver advertising. The site does not currently place advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies. Hosting infrastructure may use essential technologies for security, delivery, and abuse prevention. Browser settings that block essential cookies or local storage may prevent account, security, or preference features from working.

The site’s server may periodically retrieve publicly available national mortgage-rate averages from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and Freddie Mac. That automated retrieval is performed by the server; it does not transmit a visitor’s identity, account information, or browsing activity to those sources.

The site does not currently respond differently to legacy “Do Not Track” signals because it does not track users over time across unrelated websites. Because personal information is not sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising, a “Do Not Sell or Share” link is not presently offered. If those practices change, applicable opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control where legally required, will be honored.

7. Retention

Information is retained only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Active-account information is generally kept while the account remains open. Verification and password-reset tokens expire automatically. Persistent-login tokens are designed to expire after no more than 30 days and may be deleted sooner upon sign-out, account suspension, account deletion, or a security action. Newsletter subscription and consent records may be retained while a subscription is active and afterward as reasonably necessary to honor an unsubscribe request, demonstrate consent, prevent unwanted resubscription, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Related security records may remain for a limited period. Suspended or closed-account records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, consent records, dispute resolution, legal compliance, backups, or enforcement. Real-estate and business communications may be retained for periods required by law, brokerage policy, written agreements, or legitimate recordkeeping needs. Information is deleted, deidentified, or restricted when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to lawful exceptions and backup cycles.

8. Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used, including HTTPS, one-way password hashing, hashed authentication tokens, secure and HTTP-only cookie settings, limited administrative access, session protections, and hosting security controls. Users must choose a strong, unique password, protect their credentials and devices, sign out of shared devices, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. No Internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Public newsletter and account-access forms may use a short first-party CAPTCHA, hidden anti-bot fields, request timing, and related fraud-prevention signals. The arithmetic challenge and temporary token are stored in the site session for a limited period and used only to distinguish likely human submissions from automated abuse.

9. Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. Personal information from children is not knowingly collected. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied information may request its deletion.

10. California privacy rights

California residents may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal information maintained about them; request correction or deletion; ask for information about categories of sources, purposes, and recipients; and exercise any applicable right to opt out of sale or sharing or limit certain uses of sensitive information. Rokotyansky.com does not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly used under California privacy law and does not knowingly use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a limitation right.

These rights may depend on whether a particular law applies to the operator and may be subject to identity verification, account security, recordkeeping duties, legal exceptions, and limits on repetitive or manifestly unfounded requests. An authorized agent may make a request when legally permitted and may be asked to provide proof of authority. Good-faith privacy requests will not result in unlawful discrimination.

11. External links

Third-party links are provided for convenience. Their collection, security, and privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Rokotyansky.com is not responsible for them.

The optional footer language selector sends the address of the selected page to Google Translate so Google can display a translated version. Google may receive the page URL, selected language, IP address, and browser information under its own privacy terms. The original English site remains available without using that service.

12. Changes

This policy may change as the website, services, or law evolves. The revised version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes may also be communicated through the site, account interface, or account email when appropriate. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date.

13. Contact and requests

Questions, requests to access, correct, or delete information, and account-closure requests may be sent to edward@rokotyansky.com. Please identify the request and provide enough information to locate the relevant account or communication. We may verify your identity using the account email or another proportionate method. Do not email passwords, government identification, financial information, or other sensitive verification material unless specifically requested through a secure method.
